The 268SS is fully equipped with a spacious head, a Jensen audio system, an available anchor windlass, an easily accessible battery switch and a curved-leg table mounted to the lounge base so there’s no danger of toe-stubbing, and there are no holes drilled in the sole. The 268SS’s helm is handsome and intuitive with rocker switches and analog gauges that anyone can hop in and use. Grabbing the throttle, we found the Monterey 268SS quick and thrifty, planing with little bow rise in 5.7 seconds. At wide-open throttle the 268SS hit 45 mph.
