NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued three people from the water after their boat sank near Saint Andrews Pass, Florida, Monday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a report of a vessel sinking approximately 3 nautical miles east of Saint Andrews Pass at 11:21 a.m. Monday.
Watchstanders diverted a Coast Guard Station Panama City 24-foot Special Purpose Craft-Shallow Water boatcrew to the last known location of the sinking vessel.

Coast Guard Cutter Kingfisher also diverted to the last known position.
The Station Panama City boatcrew was able to locate the three people in the water and successfully bring them aboard.
The survivors were transported to Saint Andrew State Park and reported in good condition
