After Desert Storm, some of the serious players in the poker run world will head east to Louisiana to Blood River Landing Marina for the Tickfaw 200 poker run on the weekend of May 5th.
This year’s event will be hosted at the marina and have 10 card stops. Participants are encouraged to make every stop because this year the payout for a Royal Flush of Spades will be $5,000; best hand will pay $2,000, and the runner-up hand will pay $1,500. Participants need to make five stops to qualify for a poker run hand. Five of the card stops are accessible if participants choose to travel by land, but who would want to do that?
This is a rain or shine event, and the proceeds will go to the Louisiana Sheriff’s Department Marine Division. For a full schedule and details, go to www.bloodrivermarina.com.
