Boating hires a helicopter all the time. That’s how we shoot our magnificent cover boats. So when camera-equipped hexacopters hit the scene, we began testing them. We’ve discovered that most of these drones have a run time that’s too short for our purposes and that they cannot be recovered in working condition from a crash landing over water.
SeaHEX claims to change all that with its floating drone. They have even equipped it with a feature that allows fisherman to find schools of fish with GPS accuracy. We’ll get out on a boat and test SeaHEX soon to put these claims to the test. For now, check out this video supplied by the manufacturer.
