The OPTIMA Batteries Healing Heroes in Action program celebrated its third annual event last week! Three pro anglers, one amateur angler and four Purple Heart veterans competed in the bass fishing competition, raising $7,000. To date, the program has raised nearly $30,000 for the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation since its inception.
This year at the event, pro anglers Ish Monroe and Todd Faircloth joined Edwin Evers to pair up with Purple Heart veterans and teach them to fish. Ish and his veteran partner Derek won the competition catching 5 bass fish weighing 16.51 pounds.
