Sarasota, Florida, September 29, 2015 – Rec Boat Holdings has rolled out their 2016 model year lineup from each of their brands to a record dealer audience from around the world. Since last year’s dealer meeting, RBH has not slowed down in new product development, introducing 15 new models across the four brands. The company’s annual dealer meeting – themed “20/20 Vision” – not only provided the opportunity to trial the new boats, but also delivered a twist to the norm for dealers in attendance.
“We wanted to offer our dealers a more valuable experience outside the normal business meeting and new boat review,” stated Roch Lambert, President at Rec Boat Holdings. “Providing speakers and seminars that relate directly to improving their business delivered a very exciting format for the dealers as well as being informative,” he concluded.
The company offered insights from valuable marine partners such as GE Capital, Boatsetter (recently merged with Cruzin), Freedom Boat Club and WSIA (Water Sports Industry Association). And, new product seminars were conducted for each of the brands allowing dealers an interactive training session with product engineers and designers.
Four Winns launched a new line of deck boats, a new TS model with Volvo FWD drive system and the Vista 255 sport cruiser. The new HD 270 was launched at the meeting, with promise of additional models to come, available in sterndrive and outboard configurations. Plenty of room for family and friends, including an enclosed head, the new HD 270 delivers all the amenities needed for a full day on the water. The TS series adds a big brother, TS242, powered by the state-of-the-art Volvo Penta FWD drive. This new boat has massive cockpit space and features an enclosed head – the ‘no compromise’ TS series just stepped it up a notch. Finally, the all-new Vista 255 premiered recently at a number of European shows and has been quite successful so far. The trailerable 25-footer packs in plenty of cruising amenities – on deck, the cockpit features plush seating, premium sound options and refreshment center choices to fit your needs. Down below, the cabin boasts 6’3″ of headroom with plenty of sleeping area and enclosed stand up head. The V255 is designed to give the family many options on where they boat and how they boat; for a day cruise or long weekend, the Vista 255 fits the bill.
Glastron adds a new outboard model to the fleet – the GT 240. As consumers call for more efficient power choices, Glastron answers the need with this new boat. Created from the GT 245 platform, the new GT 240 delivers a significant amount of additional storage while maintaining the same spacious cockpit and lounging area. Consumers can choose their power with outboard horsepower options ranging from 200-hp to 300-hp. Still the affordable driving machine, Glastron continues to provide the perfect boat for the new or seasoned boater.
Scarab has grown the offering by introducing a new Wake Edition option to the Scarab 215 and 255 models, respectively. The new package includes radical new graphics, ballast and custom tower with racks. A state-of-the art Medallion touch screen communication system is also available as an option. In addition to the new Wake Edition package, the game-changing iST (Intelligent Shift & Throttle) from BRP is now available on all Scarab boats 19-feet and larger. The iST system monitors boat speed via integrated GPS and modulates both throttle and reverse gate position to deliver smooth, predictable deceleration when shifting to reverse. The iST system gives boaters the control around the dock, increasing safety and confidence.
Wellcraft is back in full force with nine new models coming in the next year. The brand comes out of the gate strong and will soon lead the pack in bay boat, center console and walkaround offerings. The RBH design team, along with pro fishermen in collaboration, has built a brand new offering as well as new identity. Filling a gap in the Wellcraft line up the 22-foot Fisherman bay boat model, 24-foot Fisherman bay boat and the 24-foot Fisherman center console are all scheduled to be in market by the busy winter boat show season. Dealers were able to try out the new models and delivered plenty of positive comments. A brand new hull design, the bay boats and center console models will come fully equipped with all the fishing amenities needed for a day-long outing. The new center and dual console boats, available in 22-feet, 24-feet and 26-feet, are packed with flexibility for fishing or cruising.
