FLIR Systems, parent company of Raymarine, unveiled new Axiom+, multifunction displays (MFDs) for boating anglers and cruisers. Raymarine also announced plus updated LightHouse electronic cartography.
Successor to Raymarine’s popular line of Axiom MFDs, Axiom+ is engineered for greater speed, quicker responsiveness, and future expansion. Available in 7-, 9-, and 12-inch display models, Axiom+ comes performance-tuned with a powerful quad-core processor for fast chart redraws, multi-channel sonar views, and augmented reality navigation.
Axiom+ models also eature a bright IPS displays that are 25 percent brighter than previous Axiom models, resulting in greater clarity and wider viewing angles. In addition, the new MFDs offer improved touch-screen performance thanks to Raymarine’s HydroTough nano-coated display, which provides enhanced impact resistance, repels water and oils, and enables accurate touch control in all conditions.
Axiom+ offer four built-in sonar channels – including RealVision 3D – to deliver different views of the underwater world. A next-generation ultra-sensitive GPS receiver offers improvement in sensitivity for more accurate navigation, even in challenging installations.
Raymarine is unveiling a new LightHouse electronic charts derived from official hydrographic sources – the same data used by maritime professionals. LightHouse charts offer Raymarine users a new level of customization, detail, and the ability to explore shore destinations, fishing spots, and points-of-interest data.
The new Axiom+ models starting at $749, and are available now. The new LightHouse charts will be released in the third quarter and will be available with the purchase of any new Axiom+ MFD.
