The Smoker Craft Adventurer 188 Pro DC is the ultimate multispecies battlewagon, offering freshwater anglers a tournament-level rig at an affordable price.
This streamlined hull performs well in lake and bay chop to get you to the fish when the weather isn’t cooperating. The tall windshield protects the entire cockpit from wind and spray on the run to the honey hole. The hard chines deflect spray away from the boat and help keep the boat stable at speeds. The key element is the aft V-Pad that generates lift out of the hole and keeps the boat riding at a level attitude on plane. For power, Smoker Craft offers Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda outboards from 60 to 175 hp.
Once you’re ready to wet a line, every-thing aboard the Adventurer 188 Pro DC is designed to help you catch fish. There’s a ton of carpeted stowage fore and aft, including a giant locking rod locker in the bow casting deck that can hold up to 12 rods. Both the bow and stern casting decks have built-in circulating livewells, so bait is never far out of reach. A removable Engel cooler that sits under the port console can also be converted into a third livewell if needed. The port console also features a spacious lockable glove box and a hatch for an additional tackle tray. The bow is also pre-tapped to add a trolling motor.
One of the best features of the Adventurer 188 Pro DC is the Integrated Track System, a groove track built into the gunwale that extends stem to stern, allowing you to mount extra rod holders and other accessories where you want in the boat. It lets you customize your fishing spread every time you head out. You can set up a trolling spread for muskie or lake trout, or a drift setup for walleye. When you need the decks cleared to cast for bass, simply remove them from the track and stow them away.
While Smoker Craft seeks to give anglers every advantage aboard the Adventurer 188 Pro DC, it recognizes that you might use your boat to play too, as the swim step on the starboard transom and removable ski pylon attest. No matter how you use this dual-console, you’ll have fun.
