For 2026 the ATX 22 Type-S has been completely redesigned from the bottom up, adding more performance, technology and features to an already great offering from this Tigé-produced brand.
The 22 Type-S boasts room for 15 and is capable of taking on 3,250 pounds of ballast. Its hull is all-new, giving it improved watersports performance and handling in rougher waters. The smoother ride is complemented by higher gunwales and deeper seating, adding comfort and security for guests.
The helm of the ATX is clean and simple. Right of the steering wheel is a touchscreen display that has Tigé’s Go operating system built in. Want to go wakesurfing? Just tap the screen then select your ability level—the ATX will take it from there with preset speed, ballast and wake-plate settings. Do opt for the steering-wheel controls, which allow quick operation of cruise-control speed, audio, surf settings and more. A wireless phone charger is to the left of the wheel.
ATX utilizes Tigé’s TAPS 3T system, built with military-grade actuators to ensure reliable performance. The surf plates and center tab create great wakes for wakeboarding and powerful, clean and dynamic waves for wakesurfing, each customizable. Beginner to advanced riders will find the 22 Type-S plenty capable for all-day fun on the water.
The ATX 22 Type-S offers loads of storage. The wraparound seating hides storage within, which is deeper than most other watersports boats. Each side of the engine has live lockers equipped with removable nets—great for holding wet vests and ropes. The power tower is equipped with pivoting board racks and an oversized Bimini with storage sleeves up top.
Of course, ATX takes the lounge factor into consideration. The transom offers seating areas, while the sun pad features two pop-up backrests, which make for a great hangout spot when you’re floating or tied up at the sand bar.
This all-new ATX 22 Type-S carries Tigé’s DNA in a utilitarian form that is anything but bare bones for a price-conscious watersports boat that buyers will appreciate.
