The new Crest Conquest 230 SLS is pontoon that’s both easy to own and built for fun on the water. It’s a 23-foot boat designed around versatility, whether you’re cruising with the family or spending the day anchored in a cove.
The real centerpiece of the SLS layout is its smart design at the stern. It features a swingback lounge that easily shifts from a forward-facing seat to a rear-facing lounger. This is perfect for watching tubers and skiers or just enjoying the view off the back of the boat. This layout also includes an extended rear deck, giving you extra room for getting in and out of the water at anchor or the sandbar, or when prepping for watersports. There’s so much room, you can even opt to add a Lillipad diving board to the platform and let the kids have a built-in fun station while at anchor.
At the helm, the captain gets plenty of attention, too. The fiberglass helm comes standard with a 26-inch chair, GPS navigation, and even a cooled cup holder. You can keep your phone powered-up with the wireless charger right at the helm. If you want to amp-up the tech, an integrated Simrad display is also available as an upgrade. A power Bimini is also an option.
The crew doesn’t miss out on the 230 SLS’s creature comforts either, with soft-touch vinyl seating throughout the boat. The bow lounge couches have forward facing backrests so people can stretch out and relax or sit around in a natural conversation pit. A Bluetooth stereo with LED speakers comes standard to blast the tunes on board, along with recessed cup holders that have built-in phone chargers. Crest has included some thoughtful details as well, such as a slide-out pet bowl drawer and an oval table for snacks and drinks. When it’s time for a swim (or a dive if you get the diving board option) the optional Lillipad ladder makes getting back on board simple.
For those who want more adventure, you can outfit the Conquest with options such as an in-floor ski-storage compartment and a ski-tow bar that makes the boat watersports-ready. The ski-tow bar is an excellent addition because it raises the tow point above the engine’s cowling.
The boat itself is available in two- or three-tube configurations and can handle up to 250 hp, so you’ll have plenty of power for whatever the day holds. The Crest comes standard with a 28-gallon fuel tank, but with the triple-tube configuration you can get an upgraded 54-gallon fuel tank.
If the Swingback seating is not your first choice of layout, Crest offers other floorplans, including one with a second captain’s chair to port and two opposing couches aft, as well as one with two fishing chairs to stern. Set it up how you want it, then get out on the water for a day of fun.
