2026 Sea-Doo Switch Cruise 21

The Switch Cruise combines easy handling with a configurable floorplan.

Sea-Doo’s Switch Cruise continues its category-defying success, offering elements of a pontoon and a PWC, and now with more horsepower. The boost comes in the form of a variant of Rotax’s 300 hp ACE 1630—a supercharged, 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine.

Our test boat topped out at 39.4 mph—4 mph faster than the previous 230 hp offering. Equally important is its ability to be less affected by passenger load, especially as the Switch approaches its maximum 10-passenger capacity. Along with that increased horsepower is also a dramatic 60 percent improvement in fuel capacity.

Other additions for 2026 include the inclusion of a factory-installed Tech Package. At the helm, it adds a 10.25-inch color touchscreen that proved bright and easier to read than previous displays. Traditional data resides in one portion of the screen, allowing drivers to take advantage of the BRP Go! app to track their friends or get basic charting information on the other. A Navionics membership provides more detailed charting. Depth finders have been added on all models. The four-speaker Bluetooth sound system also adds two corner table units, each equipped with a JL Audio speaker. One adds an amplifier and subwoofer.

Accommodation changes include the addition of optional handlebar tilt and flip-up seat bolster. The combo adds improved visibility and comfort, and allows a driver to stand at the controls if desired. A new Bimini design includes a pneumatic lift assist that proved easier for a solo passenger to raise and lower. Access to the boat has also been greatly improved with the addition of twin corner aft gates. Previously only a single bow door could complicate things at the dock.

As to the familiar standbys, a configurable floorplan continues to give the boat its name, allowing furniture pieces to easily be moved to different positions to tailor the boat to occupants or task via a simple locking mechanism. Clear, flexible panels continue to form the perimeter walls, making the Switch one of the easiest pontoon-style boats to dock thanks to the increased visibility.
