Marine Technology Inc., best known for its high-performance pleasure and world-championship-winning racing offshore boats, is ready to build the Missouri manufacturer’s first outboard-powered catamaran.
In early April, company president Randy Scism said MTI had gotten the hull plug to its manufacturing facility and was waiting for the deck plug. Then MTI technicians were planning to create a plug from the molds and get to work building the new model. It will be powered by twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboards.
The 340X will have MTI’s signature raised aft deck that sweeps down toward the stern, as well as a wraparound windshield and seating for six. Learn more at www.marinetechnologyinc.com.
