I recently attended the Watersports Industry Association Summit. At this annual meeting of representatives from all sectors of the towboat world, including boat builders, engine manufacturers, accessory makers, media and more, action plans are made to advocate for water access rights, enhanced boater and rider safety and more. What follows is a synopsis of WSIA government affairs activity in several key US states where boating and watersports access faces opposition.
