Capable of taking on 3,500 pounds of subfloor ballast, then shaping the wakes and waves with the integrated Swell Surf System and Supra SmartPlate, the Supra SA creates pro-level riding surfaces that you can customize to accommodate beginner riders as well. Supra’s proprietary AutoWake technology automatically adjusts the ballast based on how the boat is riding. This makes for clean, consistent wakes and waves.
The SA’s systems are controlled via two large MFD touchscreens. Optional steering-wheel controls add convenience, allowing adjustment of settings without looking at the screen. New for 2024, the powered captain’s chair can be equipped with a heater and two memory settings to save preferred positions. The new windshield looks great, mirroring the lines of the SA and the new Supra Tower. Order the stern-thruster option, controlled via a twist knob on the throttle lever, for intuitive control in tight spaces.
The new sound system proves innovative. Dubbed the DSD audio system, the SA is equipped with 22 high-performance speakers, six of which are built into the side panels of the tower. Those speakers are powered by five amps (yes, five), with 25 channels of amplification. The result is an audio experience you must hear. DSD is unlike anything else in boat audio.
Up to 16 friends and family can enjoy comfort aboard the SA. Deep seating and plush upholstery make for a comfortable ride. And the rear flip seat converts to face aft so everybody can watch the action. Flip-up sun-pad backrests also turn the transom into a great lounging spot. Thanks to the subfloor ballast, storage is ample beneath every seat, including an in-floor cooler. Especially notable is a rear locker accessible from the swim step that holds multiple wakesurf boards. Speaking of the swim step, consider the optional automated Dropstep version. This deploys at the push of a button from underneath, making getting out of the water a whole lot easier.
Supra’s flagship model continues to punch well above its weight and suggested retail price, especially when compared to others in its class.
High Points
