The boating world will converge on South Florida October 28 through November 1 for the 67th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). With more than 1,300 boats expected across six waterfront show locations, the five-day event offers plenty to see—and enough ground to cover that arriving without a plan is a good way to miss something.
Whether you’re shopping for your next center-console, comparing cruisers, exploring the latest marine electronics or simply enjoying the spectacle of some of the world’s largest yachts, a little advance preparation will help make the most of your visit.

What to See
The Broward County Convention Center is a good starting point for visitors interested in fishing boats, runabouts, cruisers, personal watercraft, marine accessories and fishing equipment. It’s also the show’s recommended transportation hub.
At Bahia Mar and the neighboring Hall of Fame and Las Olas marinas, visitors can explore additional in-water displays and compare boats across a range of sizes and styles. Pier Sixty-Six Marina and Superyacht Village cater to those drawn to the upper end of the market, with large yachts and luxury-oriented exhibits.
For boat shoppers, the show provides an opportunity to compare competing models in person, examine layouts and finishes, and speak directly with builders, dealers and equipment manufacturers. Bring a list of must-have features and questions about power, performance, storage, service and pricing. If you’re seriously considering a purchase, arrange appointments with dealers in advance when possible.
Tickets and Admission
Purchase tickets online through the official show website, FLIBS.com. There is no on-site ticket box office, and ticket sales are final except if the event is canceled.
Active-duty military personnel and veterans are eligible for complimentary one-day general admission. The show recommends requesting tickets in advance to avoid delays.
Check the official website for current admission categories, pricing and any VIP options before making plans.
Getting There and Getting Around
Driving and parking: The show’s recommended starting point is the Broward County Convention Center, at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd. Park there and use the complimentary shuttle, golf cart or water taxi network to reach the other locations. Review the official parking and transportation map before setting out.
Complimentary shuttles: Routes connect the convention center with Bahia Mar and Superyacht Village, while additional services link other designated pickup points. A shuttle route also connects Brightline’s Fort Lauderdale station with the Riverside Hotel. Routes and operating details can change, so check the show’s transportation page before traveling.
Water taxis: For a more scenic way to travel between venues, water taxis operate beginning one hour before the show opens and continue until one hour after closing. Officially listed fares are $15 for a one-day pass and $65 for a five-day pass; children younger than five ride free. Windward VIP ticket holders receive complimentary water taxi service.
The official transportation guide and current route information are available at FLIBS.com.
Tips for a Better Show
Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll cover considerable ground, often on docks, ramps and uneven surfaces. Choose footwear that’s comfortable for walking and easy to remove, since boarding some boats may require it.
Dress for South Florida weather. The show operates rain or shine. Bring sun protection and consider a lightweight rain jacket, especially if you’ll spend most of the day outdoors.
Study the maps. Download the 2026 show maps and identify priority exhibits before arriving. Crossing between venues takes time, even with transportation assistance.
Allow time to board boats. Access to individual vessels is at the discretion of the manufacturer, exhibitor or broker. Larger yachts may require appointments or additional screening, so don’t assume every boat will be open for walk-throughs.
Plan meals and breaks. Food and beverage options are available throughout the show, including choices for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. Build in time to eat and rest rather than attempting to cover every exhibit without a break.
Know the restrictions. Pets other than permitted service animals, drones, weapons, bicycles, scooters and several other wheeled recreational devices are prohibited. Security may search bags upon entry, and the show does not provide storage for personal belongings or strollers.
Make the Most of FLIBS
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is as much a place to learn as it is to shop. It’s an opportunity to compare hull designs, explore new propulsion and electronics technologies, and talk with the people who build and equip today’s boats.
The key is to pace yourself. Choose the boats and exhibits that matter most, leave room for unexpected discoveries, and remember that the biggest yacht in the marina isn’t necessarily the most interesting boat for your needs.
