OS2 Offshore Jacket
The OS2 Offshore Jacket employs Gill’s innovative XPLORE® waterproof and breathable fabric technology. This advanced material incorporates Shield PFAS-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment on the shell to shed water before it even contacts the XPLORE® Membrane, a waterproof membrane that allows condensation to wick outward through it while preventing moisture from entering. Gill says they make the membrane without the use of harmful perfluorochemicals.
Significant upgrades have been implemented in this edition to enhance protection and usability. The jacket features an increased collar height and a face guard to protect against wind and spray—conveniently, this face guard can be stowed away when not needed. The collar and handwarmer pockets are fleece lined. The hood has been redesigned with an improved adjustment system and incorporates a stiffened peak that maintains its shape in windy conditions, ensuring unobstructed visibility. The chest pockets have been upgraded with YKK AquaGuard® water-resistant zippers for additional protection of personal items.
Practicality is evident in the thoughtful pocket design. The left breast pocket features a water-resistant zipper and is spacious enough to accommodate even larger smartphones like the iPhone 15 Pro Max. An additional zippered pocket on the right breast provides secure storage for smaller items. Large front pockets with storm flaps offer extra storage, while side pockets with fleece lining serve as convenient hand warmers.
The main zipper employs a double storm flap and Velcro closures for maximum water resistance. All zippers are equipped with substantial, sturdy pulls easy to grasp with gloved hands.
The jacket is available in multiple colorways, including Navy/Eggshell, Black, Navy, and Red. Women can choose from a comprehensive size range spanning from 04 to 16, ensuring a proper fit for various body types. Rain Pants
The rain pants are wisely reinforced with heavy fabric at the knees and seat. An elastic band at the waist makes for a snug fit to effectively prevent water ingress. Adjustable shoulder straps ensure the pants stay in position. Velcro closures at the ankles allow for a customized fit around boots, preventing water from entering from below. The pants also feature a large pocket on the right thigh protected by a storm flap and include an elastic loop ideal for attaching a safety lanyard.
