The Monaco 235 Single Flip Lounge occupies a sweet spot in Godfrey’s multi-tier lineup, coming in at a midrange price, but with more than its share of luxurious amenities. The latter only increases for 2026. From a stylish raised-helm design to versatile new furniture choices to even the performance-minded pontoon configuration below deck, the Monaco outruns its coverage.
Our test boat’s blue-and-black matte finish cut a sporty look at the dock. You might not immediately notice the tinted SeaView window that occupies most of the bow gate, but the captain will, as it offers an unobstructed view coming into the dock. Step through and our test boat’s dark grey vinyl and woven flooring paired perfectly with the exterior color scheme while promising not to turn up the heat. Both are made with Cool-Touch technology that keeps temps similar to vinyls with lighter shades.
A newly elevated helm is raised 3 inches off the floor. Like that clear gate forward, it provides better visibility for the captain, particularly on boats made to be filled with passengers. The helm’s glass windshield is another classy new addition for 2026. At the helm, a standard 5-inch Simrad display is flanked by analog-style gauges on the dash; upgrade to the 7-inch Simrad for more screen space. Digital switching is standard, enabling features such as NytCruz. It senses ambient light, and automatically turns on navigation and anchor lights at dusk and dims interior lighting. A wireless phone-charging cubby is within easy reach. There’s even the option of a chilled or heated captain’s chair.
An L-shaped lounge with aft sun pad is new to the Monaco’s seating options. Across from the helm seat, its backrest can flip forward or aft. Across the stern, a larger seat can do likewise, facing forward or facing aft. The same lounge can also morph into back-to-back seating, forward- or rear-facing recliners, or a 5-foot-square sun bed. Unique? The stainless-steel perimeter rail allows use of the aft seats when under way, but stops short to create a 2-foot-deep “back porch.” It’s a great spot for kids and adults to hang out and play when coving or at the sandbar.
