2023 MasterCraft XT22 T

The XT22 T is a versatile addition to the XT family.

Offering fantastic wake and wave performance, industry-leading comfort and award-winning quality, MasterCraft’s XT line adds the all-new XT22 T, a 22-footer with traditional bow styling, which complements the existing XT22 and its pickle-fork bow.

The XT22 T looks great with MasterCraft’s clean sheerline. A deeper cockpit allows for comfortable seating throughout, amplified by triple-density foam seats and molded seatbacks. An optional pop-up seatback on the port side and a convertible rear bench evidence the boat’s seating versatility. We appreciated the optional heated captain and observer’s seats, along with the cockpit heater vents and hoses during our chilly fall test day.

With room for 14, the XT22 T carries a crowd. The standard Z6 tower comes with clamping board racks, while the all-new Bimini top comes with surf sleeves above and below, stowing up to six boards. We found easily accessible storage throughout the boat, both under hinged seat bottoms and in compartments next to the engine. Dedicated cooler storage proves a nice touch.

The XT22 T lives up to the performance standard set by MasterCraft. The running surface, based on both the XT22 and the X22, combined with the available 3,020 pounds of ballast and MasterCraft’s integrated SurfStar system, means the wakes and waves can go from beginner-friendly to pro-level quickly. The 79-gallon fuel capacity ensures long days of on-water fun. Want to check the fuel, bilge or engine status? Do so from anywhere, thanks to onboard diagnostics and the new MasterCraft Connect app.

At the helm, the XT22 T comes standard with classic analog gauges up top and a digital touchscreen to the right. Or owners can upgrade to a digital display at the top and larger touchscreen to the right. Either way, we found the XT22 T’s systems intuitive and easy. Rider presets make setting up wakesurfing or wakeboarding a breeze.

The XT22 T is a versatile addition to the XT family. It’s great if you’re in the market for a boat that holds plenty of family, friends and all the requisite gear, and is readily customizable but still easy to tow and store off the water.
