Harris’s Sunliner 230 Sport is an agile performer with Mercury Racing’s sporty 150R for power. It hit a 36-mph top speed and went 0-to-30-mph in 8.6 seconds; it’s well-equipped to plane a load of friends and pull watersports enthusiasts too. It’s also thrifty: The most economical cruising speed occurs at 3,000 rpm and just over 15 mph burning 3.9 gph—that’s 4 mpg for a 174-mile range from the 50-gallon tank. Pounding it through afternoon wind chop, we heard no rattling or flexing as we cranked the Harris through hardover turns and through boat wakes. The RPM 325 Performance Chassis underneath features .090-inch-gauge-thick aluminum tubes with reinforced nose cones up front, and 25-inch-diameter outer tubes combined with a 27-inch-diameter center ’toon. There are lifting strakes on both sides of all tubes. The center tube extends all the way to the engine-mounting pod, with flared lifting foil underneath for quicker planing.
Abovedecks, all is new for 2026. The squared-bow design allows for all-new contoured loungers in the bow; the backrests are built-in fore and aft, so seating can be forward or backward. The bases are body-contoured to create more legroom, but still provide excellent body support. Soft-touch Dune pillow-top vinyl combines with carbon-colored insets and red-stitched wave-pattern insets. The combination is both luxurious and tasteful. Recessed pockets in the side panels house cup holders and phone chargers for all riders.
Amidships, the captain’s console features a built-in riser which raises it to provide better visibility, especially if there are guests seated in the bow. The helm is swept back and sleek, with storage inside. Wet Sounds delivers the six-speaker (up to 10 speakers with tower cans are optional) music. At the port side is a bulkhead with built-in storage featuring a slide-out drawer for cooler storage, and an open slot underneath for sandals and shoes storage. An in-floor storage locker is an option.
Aft, there’s a portside swingback lounge bed, with a mulitposition backrest and a built-in inflator/deflator for water toys. The aft deck is extended and features an inflatable-rated tow bar and a Lillipad Easy Step boarding ladder standard.
