Tiara’s newest offering, the 39 LE, slides into the company’s outboard-powered sport lineup as a modern vessel that knows its heritage. Sister to the 39 LS we put through its paces last summer, this beauty distinguishes itself with a closed bow and enclosed helm and salon.
Despite weighing about 1,000 pounds more than its sibling, the 39 LE promises similar performance when equipped with the same twin Mercury 600 Verados. Last summer’s test saw the 39 LS hitting mid-50-mph speeds, and we expect the LE to match that speed. For those longer journeys, expect cruising speeds in the mid-30s to low 40s. The 500-gallon fuel tank provides a range exceeding 300 miles.
The cockpit welcomes you aboard through a thoughtfully designed boarding step and starboard boarding door, introducing you to its rotating, multipurpose Buffet Lounge Module. It rotates 45 degrees to face the electrically actuated terrace on the port side, a feature that transforms the boat side into a horizontal platform at water level. It comes with an electric grill, sink, and freezer too. Those with angling aspirations might opt for the Adventure Module, a fishing workstation with sink, cutting-board prep area, a 42-gallon livewell and four rod holders.
Step inside the salon and you’ll find an elevated L-shaped settee to port, featuring an inset teak table. The helm chair swivels to face the lounge, allowing the captain to join conversations at anchor. Under way, the captain enjoys commanding views and easy access to flush-mounted MFD screens and the Mercury Joystick Piloting system.
Belowdecks, find a portside galley for serving both the salon above and the accommodations below. The master suite boasts private access to the head with its separate shower, while additional sleeping quarters hide amidship.
The 39 LE stands as a worthy torchbearer of Tiara’s legacy, offering boat buyers a luxurious and contemporary boating experience without sacrificing the timeless qualities that made the builder’s reputation in the first place.
High Points
- The electrically actuated terrace in the portside of the cockpit lowers to create excellent swimming access at anchor or at the sandbar.
- Built-in boarding step and side-boarding door allow for easy boarding from the dock.
- The extended swim platform creates extra usable space to stage for watersports.
- The helm provides great visibility fore, aft and to the sides, along with MFD touchscreens, creating essentially a glass helm.
- The galley is “down,” which maximizes entertainment space and seating topside.
